how did i get here?
As the youngest of four girls, life was going, until sh*t really hit the fan in 2011.
Between 2012 and 2014, two of sisters, and best friends, died 15 months apart, one to cancer and one by suicide. When I meet someone new, which luckily happens often in the transient city of San Francisco, people are often amazed & surprised to find out that I’ve gone through such experiences because of my upbeat nature, desire, and love to help others grow (both personally and professionally).
I won’t pretend the journey was always rosy, as initially, the emotions, grief, and questions of why were overwhelming, however through this journey, what allowed me to swim through the swamp is that I learned early to face the emotions head on.
I have REFUSED to be play a victim of life and accepted the experiences for what they are…which are experiences of life working for me, not against me, so that I could step into the person I have alway meant to be. NEVER in a million years, especially when each sister died, did I think that as a direct result of my experiences, I would become the person I am today and ultimately CREATE and LIVE the fulfilling life that I live today.
I know that if I can get there, so can YOU.

What this means for you...
I know that if I can get there, so can YOU.
A surprising result of what I have gone through has been the opportunity to meet others that have faced similar experiences and the incredible connection I’ve with so many people whom have had their own share of tragedy, loss, and faced grief. The grieving club was never in my life plans, but am grateful to meet others in similar paths, and know that I’m not alone.
If you’ve gone through more than your fair share of ups and downs, and feel ‘stuck’ or can’t believe the sun is really there sitting high above the clouds on a stormy day, fear not, for you are not alone in your pain and suffering…I PROMISE. If you are feeling alone, make sure you join my Grieve and Live Community Facebook Group, the support in there is safe and up lifting.
It’s easy to think of the ups in life, i.e. being happy, in love, and sing songs about that all day, but when it comes to real human pain, such as grief, no one likes to talk about what that means and how to deal with it…but the truth is, how can we talk about it if we’ve never gone through it until life happens to us or a loved one?!

Why I created Grieve & Live
I created Grieve & Live to share my journey but with the real mission to share what I’ve learned so that I can enable You to achieve BREAKTHROUGH by Embracing Grief and Live a Fulfilling Life. We are a COMMUNITY of grievers, EMBRACING our journey and getting EMPOWERED by our life experiences, so that in turn you will do the same with others.
Join me in the journey and let’s help our fellow lights along the way.
With Gratitude,
Diana
